ABOUT GEITA GOLD MINING LTD
Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents.
The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of North Western Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s South East of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its head office in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam. Applications are invited from ambitious, energetic and performance driven individuals to fill in vacant position(s) mentioned below:
1.Position: Tradesperson 1 – UG Mechanic
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Minimum of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with either of the following additional qualifications:
- VETA Level Three / Grade one
- Diploma in Automobile Engineering
- Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Automotive / Mechanical Engineering and above.
2.Position: Technical Aid 1 – Environmental Monitoring
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of Secondary School Education
3.position: Operator 2 - Bogger ( 5 Posts)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid Tanzanian driving license with Underground mining driving experience
- Site Entry requirements which must include medical Health Surveillance
4. Position: Service Crew - Fourteen (14) Posts
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of Secondary School Education
- Must possess a valid Tanzanian driving license with Underground mining driving experience
- Site Entry requirements which must include medical Health Surveillance
5.Position: Officer 2 - Emergency Response- 4 Posts
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate of Secondary Education Examination or above
- Certificate in Emergency response issued by accredited authority will be an added advantage]
- Driving skills with Tanzanian Driving licence class C & E
6. Position: Occupational Hygiene Officer
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree/Its equivalent/or Diploma in Environmental Science/Studies or any other related fields e.g., Public health, Food Science etc.
- Certificate in Mine Environmental Control- (Intermediate or advanced MEC-RSA), NOSHC, NEBOSH
